Beginner Quilting Class
In this class you will be choosing a Sassy Sunflower Half Yard Pack which contains five (5) half yards of curated fabric. You will then choose one of six (6) different patterns (Window Pane, Tumble Blocks, Mile of Tiles, Picnic Basket, Hash Tag or Quick Strip). Both the fabric and pattern are included in the cost of this two-day class.
In this class, you will learn how to make a quilt that is approx. 48" x 60". (It will depend on the pattern you select.)
You will learn the basics of cutting fabric, piecing, and finishing your quilt. This class will take two days to complete. Class two will be the following week to allow you time to complete piecing your quilt top.
You will need the following supplies:
1. Sewing machine in good work order with a 1/4 inch foot (not necessary, but helpful), electric cord and foot pedal. You will need to know how to operate your sewing machine.
2. Basic quilting supplies: Ruler (6 x 24"), rotary cutter, seam ripper, pins, extra sewing machine needles, and thread.
3. Cutting mat min. 18 x 24"
Note: The cost of the class includes your fabric and pattern.
