Overcome the fear of cutting and piecing ovals! In this class, Barbara will demonstrate how to use the new Creative Grids- Ovals All Ways ruler designed by Karla Alexander. The Ovals All Ways Ruler is designed to cut quarter, half and full oval shapes in a variety of sizes. Barbara will guide you in creating a stunning Blue Onion quilt! Quilt as shown on pattern is approx 50 x 70. The Blue Onion pattern and the Ovals All Ways ruler are needed for this class.

This is a quick and easy project where you could use some of your holiday stash fabrics! Manx Quilting - At first glance these blocks look like traditional log cabin quilt blocks. But their construction is different, in a foundation-pieced quilt-as-you-go method using strips of fabric. The Manx method is inexpensive and portable. It requires no fancy notions or batting, uses up scraps of fabrics, is easy, FUN, and addictive. No sewing machine is required as this is a hand stitching class. Anyone can accomplish Manx stitching! Nearly all of the Serendipity Staff are making blocks using the Manx method. NO SEWING MACHINE REQUIRED

This 2-part class uses the "New York Beauties & Flying Geese" Book by Carl Hentsch. In this class Irene teaches the technique where complex piecing is made simple! Expand your skill set and learn new tips and techniques for curved and foundation piecing. The design allows you to select whatever combination of blocks make you happy. Once you learn the technique, you can choose any quilt from the book or make one block for a pillow or 3 blocks for a table runner. Prerequisite: Must have paper piecing experience or must have previously taken the Intro to Paper Piecing class.
