In this class you will learn fun and easy designs that will allow you to start finishing your own quilt tops. You will be shown overall designs plus designs that will work in blocks, triangles, and sashings and borders. You will leave this class with a multitude of designs and ideas on how to start your journey in free motion quilting. Pack your lunch for this class as we will take a 30 minute break for lunch!

Learn the basics, including choosing your fabrics, rotary cutting, machine piecing and quilting. Go home with mostly finished projects after each class. Class uses Pat Sloan's "I Can't Believe I'm Quilting" book.

Overcome the fear of cutting and piecing ovals! In this class, Barbara will demonstrate how to use the new Creative Grids- Ovals All Ways ruler designed by Karla Alexander. The Ovals All Ways Ruler is designed to cut quarter, half and full oval shapes in a variety of sizes. Barbara will guide you in creating a stunning Blue Onion quilt!

Join Barbara in this fun class where you will make an adorable wonky Crazy Christmas Tree table runner. This is a quick and easy project where you could use some of your holiday stash fabrics! The Cut Loose Press pattern is designed by Karla Alexander and uses the Creative Grids Spider Web Quilt Ruler.

Learn paper piecing with Edwina . This is an absolutely beginner paper piecing class. You will learn how to paper piece by sewing this simple block. Kit is provided with the class fee.

Using the Jelly Roll Rug pattern by Roma Lambson, Lenny will teach you the tips and tricks of making this beautiful 30" x 44" rug using your favorite 40 Piece jelly roll or your own precut fabric. NOTE: If using your own precut fabric, you will need 40, 2 1/2" x 42" strips. This is a two part class.

This difficult looking interlocking design is made easy using Deb Tucker's Wing Clipper 1 Tool to make effortless flying geese chevrons. There are so many size and color options that you will want to make more than one. The one shown is 50" x 54" and used 10 fat quarters.

Manx Quilting - At first glance these blocks look like traditional log cabin quilt blocks. But their construction is different, in a foundation-pieced quilt-as-you-go method using strips of fabric. The Manx method is inexpensive and portable. It requires no fancy notions or batting, uses up scraps of fabrics, is easy, FUN, and addictive. No sewing machine is required as this is a hand stitching class. Anyone can accomplish Manx stitching! Nearly all of the Serendipity Staff are making blocks using the Manx method. NO SEWING MACHINE REQUIRED

Lenny will teach you how to make a beautiful landscape with the needle felting technique. You will need a needle felting tool, wool for background and wool roving. kit will be available from Lenny the day of class ($18.00).

In this two part class, Irene will show you how to start with one fabric, cut and make unique kaleidoscope blocks. Once the blocks are made, you will design your own one of a kind One Block Wonder Quilt!

The quilt-as-you-go-technique (QAYG) is an easy way to join quilted pieces by machine. Lenny will teach a QAYG method that allows you to quilt your project as you piece it. This is a TWO day class. Cutting prior to class is required.

Learn a great technique to take your free motion quilting to the next level by adding ruler work. Learn how to use long arm rulers... whether on a long arm machine or a domestic machine (requires free motion ruler foot.) Learn the steps to get the perfect designs and precision that comes with using rulers and then learn different techniques to make those designs stand out! Pack your lunch for this class as we will take a 30 minute break for lunch!

We will be using Robin's revolutionary rulers, book and technique for making STRIP-PIECED compass style blocks. That's right, NO PAPER PIECING! This is an easy, fun, and accurate block! You can make any size quilt you want - from a 3-block runner to King size bed quilt. We will all be using Robin Ruth's Skinny Robin 16-Point Mariner's Compass Book and Ruler Combo. I strongly suggest her Angle Ruler as well. Other rulers with angles marked on them are possible to use, but the Angle Ruler makes this technique so easy!

This 2-part class uses the "New York Beauties & Flying Geese" Book by Carl Hentsch. In this class Irene teaches the technique where complex piecing is made simple! Expand your skill set and learn new tips and techniques for curved and foundation piecing. The design allows you to select whatever combination of blocks make you happy. Once you learn the technique, you can choose any quilt from the book or make one block for a pillow or 3 blocks for a table runner. Prerequisite: Must have paper piecing experience or must have previously taken the Intro to Paper Piecing class.

Learn the basics of Tee Shirt Quilt Construction from selecting and cutting your shirts to piecing the quilt, in 2 sessions. You will learn how to prepare your Tee shirts for use in a quilt and then how to put them together with sashing and borders. This class is for making the top You might have to finish it at home.

Join Lenny to learn the basics of wool applique beginning with basic applique stitches. You will choose a wool applique kit to work on during this class. Fee does not include the kit. Photo shows a sample of a few kits that are available to purchase.

You will, for sure, want to make more than one of these adorable wooly trees. Everything is included in the kit for the class to make one tree (44 branches). NOTE: This is a larger version of the tree shown in photo. Jackie and Mary offer a wide variety of beautiful wool to construct the trees and with their guidance by the end of class you will be taking home your own finished tree!!! Must purchase the kit separate from class fee. The cost of the kit is $35.00 (44 branch tree) payable to the instructors on the day of the class. In addition to wool, the kit includes precut wires, a dowel, floral tape, a wood base and written instructions. No additional supplies are needed!

Join us for an introduction to new products and new classes. Show and tell. Light refreshments. Meet other quilters and have some fun. 10:00AM - 1100AM or Noon -1:00PM

FREE - Sit and sew away from home! Bring your sewing machine and your sewing/cutting supplies/tools, your WIP (work in progress), hand projects, or start a new project! A staff member will be present to offer help with your projects. Note: This is not an instructional class. It is simply a sit and sew day - meeting new and old friends while working on your projects!
