Choose your favorite Homegrown Holidays panel (white, red or black) and add 2/3 yard of a buffalo check (red/black, red/white, black/white) to make a really cute wall hanging for Christmas for a gift or for you (or both). Here are the very simple directions for making a 40"X44" little quilt. We did not kit this so you can choose your own fabric combo.
Fabric needed:
1 1/4 yd backing of your choice
Cut the Homegrown Holiday panel into the following pieces
Center block- 19 1/2" X 22 3/4"
4 Corner blocks- all 11" X 11"
From the Check fabric cut 2 11" X WOF strips and from these cut:
2 - 11" X 22 3/4" strips (side strips)
2 - 11" X 19 1/2" strips (top and bottoms strips
Sew the 11" X 22 3/4" strips to the sides of the Center block
Sew a corner block to each end of the 11" X 19 1/2" strips, making sure you are happy with the placement of each corner block. Then sew 2 pieced top and bottom strips to the center pieced strip and you are done with the top! Layer back, batting and quilt top and quilt as desired. Bind and enjoy.
