Countdown to 2021 - 12 weeks of projects and seasonal fun!

Week 4

Choose your favorite Homegrown Holidays panel (white, red or black) and add 2/3 yard of a buffalo check (red/black, red/white, black/white) to make a really cute wall hanging for Christmas for a gift or for you (or both).  Here are the very simple directions for making a 40"X44" little quilt. We did not kit this so you can choose your own fabric combo.

 Fabric needed:
One Homegrown Holiday panel (whitered or black
2/3 yd coordinating check (red/blackred/whiteblack/white)
1 1/4 yd backing of your choice
3/8 yd binding - we used Kona black

Cut the Homegrown Holiday panel into the following pieces
Center block- 19 1/2" X 22 3/4"
4 Corner blocks- all 11" X 11"

From the Check fabric cut 2 11" X WOF strips and from these cut:
2 - 11" X 22 3/4" strips  (side strips)
2 - 11" X 19 1/2" strips (top and bottoms strips

Sew the 11" X 22 3/4" strips to the sides of the Center block
Sew a corner block to each end of the 11" X 19 1/2" strips, making sure you are happy with the placement of each corner block.  Then sew 2 pieced top and bottom strips to the center pieced strip and you are done with the top!  Layer back, batting and quilt top and quilt as desired. Bind and enjoy.

If you would like your backing to coordinate with the fabric line of "Homegrown Holiday" - here is the link for what we have in stock:
