CRUMBS! LET?S MAKE SOMETHING WITH THEM. Got Scraps? Come learn the fun and addicting process of turning those scraps into larger pieces of usable fabric. During this class I'll give ideas (like the projects in the photo) on how to use the fabrics you just created. You must have some experience making quilts. Note: in the class you will make the blocks which you will take home to use in a project of your choice.
Manx Quilting - At first glance these blocks look like traditional log cabin quilt blocks. But their construction is different, in a foundation-pieced quilt-as-you-go method using strips of fabric. The Manx method is inexpensive and portable. It requires no fancy notions or batting, uses up scraps of fabrics, is easy, FUN, and addictive. No sewing machine is required as this is a hand stitching class. Anyone can accomplish Manx stitching! Nearly all of the Serendipity Staff are making blocks using the Manx method. ****PROOF OF UP TO DATE COVID VACCINATION IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND CLASSES **** NO SEWING MACHINE REQUIRED
Need an original gift for someone or for yourself? I have the answer: A wrapped rope bowl. Come join the fun as we use clothesline rope and fabric to make one of A kind bowls. We will also make a mat that makes a great hot pad. A sewing machine with zigzag capabilities and a few supplies and you can have a mat and bowl by the end of class. These bowls are almost like potato chips: you can?t make just one!
