Happy Independence Day and other good things at Serendipity

Happy Independence Day from all of us at Serendipity Quilt Shop. Hope you can enjoy this day with your families. The shop will be closed just for Wednesday July 4th and we will be open regular hours for the rest of the week. (9-5 Thurs and Friday and 9-4 on Saturday).

Thanks so much to all of you who celebrated our 4th anniversary with us. It was really fun, and great to see so many of you. Thank you to the 5 long arm quilters who were here on Thursday. It's great to put a face with the name on the cards we hand out to our customers looking for someone to quilt their tops.

Thank you to all those who participated in the Chinese Auction which benefits a local Relay for Life team. Over $400 was raised.

The Panel Challenge

You can still purchase a panel and join in our challenge. The challenge is to make something original and completed by Sept 15th and bring it in to the shop. We will have 2 weeks of voting for favorites.

3 Categories- $20 gift certificate for winner in each and $40 gift certificate for Most votes overall!

Welcome to Nicki Boothman who is a Jr. in high school and working with us this summer. She has already been a huge help!

Classes will finally be on the website by the end of this week, with more to be added as we get towards the fall. Brenda has been having a good response to her basket weaving classes and has some great ones coming up. She will be teaching 2 new baskets each month. We have the samples in the shop and photos will be on the web site this week also.

Mimi Dietrich has a new book coming out in a few weeks and will be at Serendipity on Saturday August 25th from 1-4pm for a book signing! Reserve your copy by calling the shop.

Don't forget this Saturday is a QOV day from 9-4pm. Join us to make blocks for returning service members.
