Baby News, Lots of thanks, and Christmas week at Serendipity Quilt SHop

Congratulations to Lori-el , Jon, and Devin Byers on the birth of Brianna Lee. She was born on December 11th weighing 8lbs. 8oz. All are doing well and we hope to have Lori-el back in the shop in a couple of months.

The happy winner of the Quilts of Valor raffle quilt is Laura Ritter. Thanks to all of you who bought tickets. Over $700 was raised for our local QOV organization. This will be used to ship quilts for long arm quilting and to purchase more fabric for quilts and pillowcases. Thanks especially to Jean Straub for making and donating the beautiful quilt. What's New?

We have expanded our thread selection to include Sulky metallic thread, Presencia perle cotton and embroidery floss.
The small size of the "Hang it Dang it" quilt hanger is here and the 2 larger sizes are on order.
We have a nice selection of Sue Daley's English Paper Piecing templates, papers and kits and are anxiously awaiting the imminent release of her book. Edwina is putting the binding on an amazing runner (from the book), that will be hanging in the shop in January and we are brainstorming on an English paper piecing club to begin probably in the spring. Suggestions welcome!
New fabrics include Windham's Redworks", wonderful new colors and patterns of the Marcus' woven flannels that we all love, and Hoffman and Timeless Treasure batiks. There are also quite a few new shop samples and kits, ranging from Asian to primitive.

There are some fun classes on the schedule for the winter and spring and we continue to add more. Please check the web site or come in to see the samples and sign up. Classes include, Raggy Rug, Mariner's Compass, Storm at Sea, Hand Quilting, Machine Quilting, Basic Borders, Coil Bowls, Otter Creek Jacket, Crocheted Rug and Hand Applique.

All fabric originally priced LESS than $10/yd will be $6/yd.(min 1 yd cuts). Regular sale fabric will be 50% off original price, and selected books and patterns are 50% off. Selected charm packs are $6.
