If you would like to sign up for any of our classes, please call the shop at (302) 732-6304 and we will be happy to sign you up! You can then either stop by and pick up your class supply list or request to have one e-mailed to you.
We will let you know if the class you have requested is full. If this is the case, then we can place your name on a waiting list. If for some reason someone decides that they cannot attend the class after signing up, we begin to call those people who are on the waiting list. Most of the time if we have a large interest in a particular class, we will schedule to have the class again and then begin to contact the people on the waiting list before offering the class to the public.

With Gail's guidance, weave a basket of your choice. Finish a previous basket, bring a kit of your own, or order a kit from Gail at least 2 weeks before class. Class is from 9 to 4.

| BOM Classes and SQS Clubs |  | Tradition WIth A Twist- Block of the Month Class
In January, 2012 we will be starting a new BOM that has been designed by Pat Casadei and Kathy Chamberlain. It is a sampler quilt which can be made with your selection of fabrics. Each month you will receive the pattern for that block and have a class which will include using our "GO" cutter and sewing your block together. With the last class being the pieced border, this is a 13 month program. If you choose , this is a great stash/scrappy quilt. It's your chance to learn a new cutting method, sew with guidance, and use your favorite fabrics.
Cost is $10 per month.
Classes will be on the third Friday of the month beginning January 20th. Stop in between 10am-3pm to cut and sew. Join anytime. (You don't have to begin in Janurary).

If you have taken our Beginner Quilting Series with Edwina, then you are ready to take the next step with this Advanced Beginner Quilting Series. This class meets for 5 sessions. (Check your calenders carefully!)

Learn the basics, including choosing your fabrics, rotary cutting, machine piecing and quilting. Go home with mostly finished projects after each class. Class uses Pat Sloan's "I Can't Believe I'm Quilting" book.

Back by popular demand! Learn how to make these coil mats and bowls with Lenny. You'll be using bias fabric strips, clothesline, and your sewing machine. This class will be a lot of fun and these mats and bowls go quickly. It is also fun to see how different the fabrics look once your project is made. Perfect for using up some of your ugly fabrics. Warning-- Addictive!!

Cost: $ 25.00 |  | Hand Applique
This class is a two part class, scheduled for Tues May 8 and May 22 from 1 to 4pm. You will learn the hand appliqueing technique while making this flower basket. The first class will cover fabric choices, threads, needles, and scissors. Edwina will be demonstrating using an overlay for your pattern placement vs. marking your background. You will need to have your 12" x 12" background piece cut before class. The Mimi Dietrich's "Favorite Applique Quilts" book or her "Baltimore Basics" book is required for the class.

This is the workshop you have been asking for! Bring your machine to this three hour class and get hands on experience with the basics of machine quilting. You will learn the techniques of pin basting, even-feed and free- motion quilting and get lots of practice and helpful hints along the way. To save you time in cutting and marking, there is a kit fee (includes handout) of $10, payable to instructor, Madge Ziegler. Be sure to get the supply list when you sign up. The class fee is $35.00.

Join Edwina on both Saturday, January 28th and February 11th from 9:30 to 12:30pm. During this class you will be using the Mariners Compass Stars Book by Carol Doak and learning how to paper piece the mariners star. The sample is using the No. 7 China Star, but you will be able to choose from any of the stars in the book. ( Additional class added for March 10 and 24.)

First Friday and Third Monday- English Paper Piecing Club
 Join us for our English paper piecing club. Get inspired by Sue Daley's great techniques and you can sit and work on your projects with your fellow stitchers. Sue's DVD will be shown at the first session- February 3, 2012 and we will demo her technique. We will meet on the first Friday and/or the third Monday of every month from 10am-noon. No charge but please sign up in advance. ( Third Monday session begins March 19th.)
